Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Fharquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox studied flute, piano as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 1970s. Lennox was able to live by surviving on a student stipend, as she worked part-time. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy with her performance in comparison to the other students. She started to think about different options. Lennox played flute with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. The group broke up before they appeared as a guest on I.T.V's talents show New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist for The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. The band was where she got to know Dave Stewart and together they created their duo Eurythmics. Following that Lennox began working for her debut album as a solo artist Diva which was released in 1992. It was a massive success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record was released in November 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's favourite blues, jazz and soul songs of her youth. Lepidoptera was released by Lennox on May 19, 2019. The album is consisting of four tracks improvised. The E.P. is an accompanying piece to her art installation in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... The album is the first time she has released an independent album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is an activist, philanthropist as well as a performer. The latter part of the 70s was when she achieved minor fame as part the group known as The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international fame in the 1980s when they formed Eurythmics. Lennox made her debut as a solo artist in 1992 with the release of Diva, which featured several hit songs such as Why and walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the album from 1995 studio features version covers of No MoreI Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. She has six solo studio albums and one compilation album to her credit.
