Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole daughter from Richard McCormick Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father worked as a teacher and her mom was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. McCormick was an accomplished entertainer and singer at the age of 6. She would show puppet shows to entertain her friends. In the year she turned 6years old, she won her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her to ask whether she was keen to work in showbusiness. McCormick was offered her first significant task in 1964 when she appeared in a commercial on television for Mattels latest doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she appeared as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for The Wind It Up and It's Breaks by The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the third of three head-to-head daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show lasted for five years. McCormick disclosed the story Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published in 2008) that McCormick was close to losing her Virginity with Barry Williams during the five-year period on the program. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice that during season five on the show she almost lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. She told me that it could have been feasible, but we never had the right time to do it.
